What's Happening?
TwentyTwo Real Estate has announced its agreement to acquire Terhills Resort in Belgium from LRM, with the transaction expected to close on May 29, 2026. The 63-hectare resort, operated by Center Parcs, includes 250 waterfront cottages and central leisure
facilities, located at the gateway to Hoge Kempen National Park in Limburg, Flanders. Center Parcs will continue to operate the resort for at least the next decade, ensuring continuity for guests. This acquisition is part of TwentyTwo Real Estate's strategy to expand its pan-European presence in leisure and destination hospitality.
Why It's Important?
The acquisition of Terhills Resort by TwentyTwo Real Estate signifies a strategic expansion in the European leisure and hospitality market. By securing a prominent resort in Belgium, the company strengthens its portfolio and enhances its partnership with Center Parcs. This move aligns with the growing trend of investing in sustainable and experience-led hospitality assets, which are increasingly valued in the industry. The resort's features, such as timber-frame construction and solar infrastructure, highlight a commitment to sustainability, which is becoming a critical factor in real estate investments.
