What's Happening?
Daher Aircraft has achieved a significant milestone by delivering the 1,300th TBM single-engined turboprop at the Aero Friedrichshafen event. The latest model, the TBM 980, was delivered to a U.S. customer, marking the 13th delivery since its launch in January.
The TBM fleet, which has been in service since 1990, has accumulated over 2.78 million flight hours. The TBM 980 features advanced avionics and cabin refinements, including Garmin's G3000 Prime avionics and Starlink-ready connectivity. The aircraft is part of a broader product line that includes the entry-level 960 variant and the Kodiak family models.
Why It's Important?
The delivery of the 1,300th TBM aircraft underscores Daher's strong presence in the aviation market, particularly in the U.S. The TBM 980's advanced features and performance capabilities enhance its appeal to a wide range of customers, including those in regional, humanitarian, and multi-mission roles. This milestone reflects the ongoing demand for high-performance, versatile aircraft in the U.S., which is a key market for Daher. The company's ability to innovate and meet customer needs positions it well for future growth in the competitive aviation industry.
What's Next?
Following the Aero Friedrichshafen event, the Kodiak 900, a part of Daher's product line, will embark on a six-week European tour to promote its capabilities. This tour aims to increase awareness and sales of the Kodiak 900, which is designed for short take-off and landing operations, making it suitable for various missions. Daher's continued focus on innovation and market expansion suggests potential future developments in their aircraft offerings, catering to evolving customer demands.
