What's Happening?
A £2.2 million project led by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) is providing support to 90 organizations and upskilling 250 individuals in Scotland's manufacturing sector. The Data-Driven
Design and Manufacturing Colab (D3M Colab), operated by the University of Strathclyde, is helping manufacturers integrate data science and AI to enhance productivity and competitiveness. The initiative is part of the Glasgow City Region Innovation Accelerator programme, funded by Innovate UK, which invests £100 million across 26 R&D projects. The project aims to bridge the gap between manufacturing and digital technologies, offering hands-on projects and tailored training to apply data-driven methods in real-world industrial challenges.
