What's Happening?
Newcomerstown West Elementary School is hosting a LEGO-themed fundraiser on May 9, organized by Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery. The event, called the Bricks for Bravery Build-Off, will feature hands-on LEGO activities for children and adults. General admission
is $5 per family, with additional fees for participating in two optional speed-building competitions. The Poly Bag Sprint is designed for children aged 5 and older, while the Battle of the Bricks is aimed at teams and groups. The fundraiser supports Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery, a nonprofit that donates LEGO sets to hospitalized children.
Why It's Important?
The fundraiser not only provides a fun and engaging activity for families but also supports a meaningful cause. By donating LEGO sets to hospitalized children, Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery helps bring joy and comfort to young patients during challenging times. The event highlights the power of community involvement and the impact of charitable initiatives. It also underscores the importance of supporting children's mental and emotional well-being, particularly in healthcare settings. The fundraiser's success could inspire similar events and encourage more community-driven support for hospitalized children.
