What's Happening?
Stellantis is advancing its decarbonization efforts by expanding solar energy installations across its European manufacturing sites. The company has completed or initiated photovoltaic projects at 27 sites,
aiming to cover two-thirds of its manufacturing plants with solar power. These installations are expected to provide over 500 MW of capacity and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Stellantis is also deploying Battery Energy Storage Systems to optimize energy use and support grid stability. The initiative is part of Stellantis' broader strategy to achieve carbon net-zero status and enhance energy resilience.
