The Waukegan Public Library has commenced its summer weekly concert series with a performance by Ballet Folklorico, showcasing cultural dances from nine regions of Mexico. The event, held at the library, featured dancers ranging in age from 4 to 50, dressed
in traditional costumes. The concerts, organized by the Waukegan Public Library Friends Organization, are a long-standing tradition, offering a variety of musical genres each week. The series aims to provide cultural enrichment and community engagement, with performances scheduled every Friday through July 31. The concerts are funded by donations and proceeds from the library's semiannual book sale.
