What's Happening?
MerleFest 2026 is set to begin its 38th season, celebrating the legacy of Merle Watson with a four-day festival featuring traditional Appalachian music and a variety of other genres. Held at Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, the festival will showcase
prominent bluegrass artists like Alison Krauss & Union Station and Sam Bush, alongside diverse performers such as Nigerian American singer-songwriter Olubukola Joy and ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro. With nearly 100 artists, the festival promises a rich blend of musical styles, drawing attendees from across the country.
