What's Happening?
A survey by TalentLMS reveals that while 60% of U.S. workers believe compliance training improves workplace behavior, 45% find it disconnected from real-life situations. The survey, which polled 1,000 workers, highlights the need for training that reflects actual workplace scenarios to reduce misconduct. Theoni Velkou, compliance manager at Epignosis, emphasizes the importance of practical training in building trust within organizations. Despite the benefits, access to compliance training remains limited, with one in five workers not receiving any in the past year.
Why It's Important?
Effective compliance training is crucial for maintaining ethical standards and reducing workplace misconduct. The disconnect between training and real-world application can undermine
its effectiveness, leading to increased incidents of misconduct and workplace violence. Organizations that fail to provide relevant training risk losing employees who do not feel protected, impacting retention and overall workplace culture. Addressing these gaps is essential for fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.
