Japanese semiconductor company ROHM has formed a partnership with India-based Suchi Semicon to enhance power semiconductor packaging capabilities for the automotive sector. This collaboration aims to build local back-end manufacturing capabilities, including
chip assembly and packaging, which are critical for electric vehicles and modern automotive systems. The partnership will leverage ROHM’s expertise in power semiconductor design and Suchi Semicon’s manufacturing capabilities to create a scalable production framework. Technical evaluations are underway, with mass production targeted from 2026. This initiative is expected to improve supply chain resilience, reduce dependency on imports, and shorten delivery timelines for automotive manufacturers.
