What's Happening?
New Age Metals Inc. has announced the start of its 2026 platinum group metal exploration program at the River Valley Project in Ontario. This initiative is part of the company's strategy to expand its platinum group metal portfolio
across North America. The exploration will focus on the Mustang Zone, utilizing a DasVision 3D Induced Polarization survey conducted by Abitibi Geophysics. The survey aims to generate high-priority drill targets and support the expansion of mineral resources. The company has secured a three-year exploration permit for the project, and the survey is expected to provide detailed subsurface modeling to aid in resource expansion.
Why It's Important?
The exploration program is significant as it aims to enhance the resource base of one of North America's largest undeveloped platinum group element projects. With platinum and copper prices at multi-year highs, the project could yield substantial economic benefits. The initiative also underscores the strategic importance of critical metals in the current macroeconomic environment, potentially boosting the mining industry. The project is expected to generate high-quality drill targets, which could unlock additional value for shareholders and strengthen New Age Metals' position in the market.
What's Next?
The DasVision 3D IP survey is underway and is expected to be completed by February 2026. The results will generate priority targets for drill testing later in the year. New Age Metals is also advancing a joint venture strategy for the Mustang Zone to bring in a strategic partner, while continuing to develop its core River Valley resource area. The company maintains ongoing engagement with local communities, including the Nipissing First Nation, to ensure sustainable development.
