What's Happening?
The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are set to open on March 1, 2026, marking the return of a beloved springtime tradition in North San Diego County. Spanning 55 acres, the fields will showcase 80 million blooming ranunculus flowers in vibrant colors
such as red, pink, yellow, and white. This year, the attraction introduces several new features, including a local pop-up vendor series and an enhanced Butterfly Encounter. The vendor series will feature local businesses like Ms Kim’s Kitchen and Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions, offering unique products and flavors. The Butterfly Encounter will now include a 1,000-square-foot greenhouse with exotic butterfly varieties. Additionally, the Fields of Luck 5K will debut, allowing participants to run or walk through the fields before they open to the public. Returning attractions include the American Flag of Flowers display, wagon tours, and family-friendly activities like Santa’s Playground and Carlsbad Mining Company.
Why It's Important?
The reopening of The Flower Fields is significant for both the local community and the broader tourism industry in Southern California. As a major seasonal attraction, it draws visitors from across the region, boosting local businesses and the economy.
