The SMU Mustangs are set to participate in the inaugural Spikes Under the Lights exhibition at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. This event, scheduled for August 27, 2026, will feature the SMU Mustangs alongside Nebraska, Penn State, and Florida,
competing for a share of a $1 million prize pool. The competition will begin with two semifinal matches, followed by a championship final, all played in a best-of-three sets format. Each participating team is guaranteed $200,000, with the winning team receiving an additional $200,000. The funds will be distributed to the athletes through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements. The event is organized by Full Day Productions and GSE Worldwide and will be broadcasted nationally, with ticket sales opening to the public on May 8.
