Aspen Public Radio is hosting the 7th Annual Liar’s Contest at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, Colorado. The event features NPR's Peter Sagal, host of 'Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!', along with local celebrities as judges. The contest celebrates oral storytelling, with participants including Nina Gabianelli, Mike Monroney, Doc Eason, and Sylvia Wendrow. The Roaring Fork Valley Storytellers, formerly known as Spellbinders, have been promoting storytelling since 1997. The event aims to bring generations together through storytelling, enhancing literacy skills and fostering imagination. Tickets are available for $20, supporting Aspen Public Radio's non-profit journalism service.
