What's Happening?
International Graphite (IG6), an ASX-listed company, has entered into a joint venture with European fluorine chemicals producer Alkeemia to develop a graphite processing hub in the EU. The facility will be located at Alkeemia's hydrofluoric acid production
site in Porto Marghera, Italy. The joint venture, with Alkeemia holding 51% and IG6 49%, plans an initial production capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year, increasing to 15,000 tonnes within three years. The partnership aims to leverage Alkeemia's industrial platform and IG6's technical expertise to create a capital-efficient processing hub.
