What's Happening?
Art Absolument, a gallery located in the Saint-Germain district of Paris, is pioneering a new approach to the traditional gallery model. Under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief and Artistic Director Domitille d’Orgeval, the gallery does not maintain a roster of artists but instead focuses its programming on contemporary themes such as gender identity, nature, and the Anthropocene. The gallery relocated to its current location in September of last year, and its inaugural exhibition featured the work of 28 women artists, exploring femininity across various mediums. Subsequent exhibitions have continued to delve into expansive themes, including the relationship between humans and the earth, and the exploration of abstraction. Currently, the gallery is hosting a dual-artist exhibition titled 'Songes,' which examines texture, tactility, and materiality through the works of Eve Malherbe and Degann.
