Wagoneer as an "ultra-luxury" model of the Grand Cherokee ZJ. This edition paid homage to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer SJ, which the Grand Cherokee ZJ replaced. The Grand Wagoneer was based on the Limited model and included a standard 5.2L "Magnum" High-Output V8 engine and the new "Quadra-Trac" full-time four-wheel-drive system.
The Grand Wagoneer featured exclusive faux woodgrain vinyl decals on the front fenders, doors, and rear tailgate, along with chrome Grand Wagoneer emblems on both front fenders. It also had unique pinstripes, color-keyed heated power-adjustable side mirrors, a chrome front grille, and front bumper-mounted driving lamps. Inside, the Grand Wagoneer boasted ultra-luxury quilted leather-trimmed seating surfaces and a color-keyed leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel with cruise control.
The Orvis Edition
From 1995 to 1997, the Orvis Edition was a special package available for the Grand Cherokee Limited. This edition was a collaboration between Jeep and the Orvis catalog, known for its outdoor lifestyle products. The Orvis Edition featured an exterior color scheme of Moss Green or Light Driftwood, with roan red and maize side strip accents.
The interior of the Orvis Edition was particularly distinctive, with two-tone green and tan leather seats complemented by roan red accent piping and Orvis insignia. The edition also included Moss Green paint accents on the road wheels and special "Orvis" brand badging.
