Early Beginnings in Karting

where he quickly made a name for himself. In 2006, he won championships in the Kart Racers of America, Junior Yamaha, and TAG World series. That same year, he competed in the Skip Barber Racing School series, finishing second, which further highlighted his skill and promise as a young driver.
The following year, Newgarden continued to compete in the Skip Barber National series, finishing sixth. During this period, he also participated in the Formula Ford series, winning the Kent Class race at the Formula Ford Festival, a significant milestone in his early career.
Transition to Formula Racing
In 2009, Newgarden expanded his horizons by competing in the British Formula Ford series, where he finished second. He also raced in the Formula Palmer Audi series, winning two races. In 2010, Newgarden joined the GP3 series with Carlin Motorsport, achieving one pole position and earning eight points throughout the season.
