During Apollo 15, Worden orbited the Moon 74 times in the command module Endeavour, conducting scientific experiments and taking photographs. He also performed the first deep-space extravehicular activity (EVA), retrieving film cassettes from the spacecraft's exterior. This EVA remains the farthest from Earth ever conducted.
