Post-World Cup Usage
After the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Nizhny Novgorod Stadium became the home ground for FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod, a team in the Russian Football National League. The stadium is also used for selected matches of the Russia national football team. Beyond football, the venue is expected to host competitions in other sports, as well as major events and concerts, as suggested by Governor Valery Shantsev in 2017.
