Ranveer Singh is currently relishing the tremendous acclaim that Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar is garnering both locally and abroad. The film directed by Aditya Dhar is raking
in profits at the box office, having surpassed Rs 500 crore. Featuring R Madhavan, Arjun Ramopal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in significant roles, the movie continues to thrive in cinemas. Amidst this success, there are emerging reports suggesting that Ranveer Singh has opted out of Farhan Akhar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Don 3. According to a report from Pinkvilla, a source associated with the project has disclosed that following the remarkable success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer is quite certain about the types of films he wishes to pursue in the future. The actor is reportedly eager to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee. He also prefers not to be typecast in consecutive gangster roles after the triumph of Dhurandhar.
Ranveer Singh and Pralay
The source further informed the publication that after Dhurandhar, Singh has requested Jai Mehta to advance the filming schedule of Pralay, expediting the project and bringing it to production sooner than initially intended.
Applause Entertainment's Pralay is a zombie-themed film exploring the lengths a man will go to protect his family during an apocalypse. The source was quoted saying, "Now that he (Ranveer Singh) has stepped away from Don 3, Singh is now actively involved in coordinating dates and schedules for Jai Mehta's film to ensure it progresses swiftly."
An insider also confirmed that Ranveer was set to start preparations for Don 3 immediately after the release of Dhurandhar, but the filmmakers have already begun searching for a new actor to take on the role of Don, aiming to commence filming by the end of January 2026.
