Times Now’s in-house reviewer assessed the film. Awarding Mirai 3.5 stars, the critic noted, “Mirai begins in a mythological-futuristic realm where nine sacred texts from Emperor Ashoka's time hold the ability to elevate mortals to divine status. The nefarious Black Sword clan, led by Manchu Manoj, plots to capture these scriptures and harness their celestial power for evil. Enter Teja Sajja as the Super Yodha, a fated hero tasked with safeguarding these artifacts using his radiant divine staff - Mirai.”
Mirai also features Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram. The film is produced by People Media Factory. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Hombale Films, AGS Cinemas, and Gokulam Movies will handle the distribution of the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam versions, respectively. A sequel to the film is currently in development. Rana Daggubati has been confirmed to play the villain in Mirai: Jaithraya.
