Ever
since the trailer of Ikkis was released, the audience had been looking forward to its theatrical release. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the war drama is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal's life. The film stars Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Produced by Maddock Films, the film was initially set to release in cinemas on December 25, 2025. However, the film's release was later pushed to January 1, 2026. Ikkis stars Agastya as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, Dharmendra as Brigadier ML Khetarpal and Jaideep Ahlawat as Naseer. As for Simar Bhatia, she plays the role of Kiran Kochar.

Ikkis begins with the timeline set in 2001 when ML Khetarpal visits Lahore for his college reunion. Being back in the city brings back old memories. He resides at Naseer's residence for three days and bonds well with his family. Upon his visit, ML Khetarpal wishes to visit the place where he lived before India and Pakistan's partition. At the same time, he wants to see the place where his son Arun got martyred during the Battle of Basantar.The narrative moves in non-linear direction with two different timelines being shown.
Ikkis highlights different phases of Arun Khetarpal's life - his family life, his NDA days, his time at Poona Horse, and his first love. Towards the end of
Ikkis, the moment arrives when Arun goes on the battlefield and shows his valor.
What happens in Ikkis' climax? Ending explained!
In the scenes leading upto
Ikkis' climax, ML Khetarpal visits his hometown Sargodha, where he lived before India and Pakistan's partition. Later, he asks Naseer to take him to the place where his son Arun fought the Battle of Basantar. While heading back to Lahore, Naseer suddenly decides to fulfill ML Khetarpal's wish. He takes him near a tree and reveals that his son got martyred there while fighting against the Pakistani soldiers. Naseer gives detailed account of how Arun fought the war and showed immense courage till his last breath.
And when ML Khetarpal asks Naseer how he knows the minute details, he introduces himself as Brigadier Khwaja Mohammed Naseer. He turns out to be one who had fired at Arun's tank during the war, which ultimately led to him losing his life. Naseer had been living with this fact for many years, wanting to share it with ML Khetarpal. And when he made this confession, they shared some moments of silence.

Ikkis will premiere on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run ends. Having said that, the makers of Ikkis haven't announced the official OTT release date of the film yet.
