Rajesh Khanna’s Old-School Advice To Twinkle Khanna After Her Marriage To Akshay Kumar

Khanna, daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, followed her parents' footsteps and joined Bollywood. However, she soon quit acting. And the actress later got married to Akshay Kumar in 2001. They have been happily married for 24 years and have two children - son Aarav and daughter Nitara. But there was a time when Rajesh Khanna had jokingly advised his daughter Twinkle against Akshay. In an old interview, the veteran actor mentioned that his son-in-law, Akshay, does a lot of 'hera pheri', referring to his film with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. Rajesh Khanna's old-school advice to Twinkle Khanna

In an old interview, Rajesh Khanna said, "Iss umar me toh humara jo jamai raja hai vo boht gaata hai. Kabhi vo Bhool Bhulaiyaa karta hai kabhi Hera Pheri karta hai, Hera Pheri 2 karta hai. Bohot hera pheri karta hai. Hera pheri wala he aadmi hai vo." He mentioned this while referring to Akshay's films like Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. (Loose translation: At this age, my son-in-law sings a lot. Sometimes he does Bhool Bhulaiyaa and sometimes he does Hera Pheri)

The veteran actor further revealed his old-school advice to Twinkle. "Maine apni beti ko bhi bola hai. Maine kaha hai, 'Dekho Tina baba...', mai Tina bola hu kyuki Twinkle uska naam hai, 'Tina baba zara iski lagaam kheech k rakhna lekin itni bhi nahi kheechna ki toot jaayein'."(Loose translation: I have also told my daughter. I said, 'Look Tina baba...', I said Tina because Twinkle is her name, 'Tina baba, pull his reins a little but not so much that they break'.)
