Rajinikanth shared an emotional post on social media after the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where her father, Superstar Rajinikanth, was honoured with a prestigious lifetime achievement award, celebrating his remarkable 50-year journey in Indian cinema.

Taking to her official Instagram handle on Tuesday evening, Aishwarya shared a series of photos and wrote, “Heart full of gratitude in silence and celebrating my dearest Appa ‘THE SUPERSTAR’ on his milestone 50! Standing there with HIM along with my unwavering team and my two rocks and my family made everything make sense. It was truly COMPLETE. #thankful to god every single day… #grateful to all his fans and well-wishers and #prayerful for only positivity all around always. #iffigoa2025 #aboutlastweekend.”Rajinikanth completed 50 years in cinema in November 2025 and received the lifetime achievement award at the 56th IFFI. Reflecting on his career, he said that five decades in the film industry feel like only 10–15 years to him, and he would choose to be an actor “in every lifetime.”

Rajinikanth’s illustrious career
Rajinikanth made his debut with the 1975 film
Apoorva Raagangal and went on to star in iconic films like
Thalapathi, Baasha, Mullum Malarum, Enthiran, Kabali, and
Jailer. He will next be seen in Thalaivar 173, produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, directed by Sundar C, and scheduled for a grand theatrical release during Pongal 2027.

Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth reprises his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. Returning cast members include Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa, while new additions are SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anna Rajan. The sequel also features special appearances by Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Mithun Chakraborty. Anirudh Ravichander returns as the composer, bringing his signature pulsating background score.Rajinikanth recently shared, “I am currently travelling for the Jailer 2 shoot in Kerala.
