Lokesh Kanagaraj has officially confirmed his cameo appearance in Jana Nayagan. The confirmation came during Lokesh’s recent interaction with the press, his first media appearance since August 2025, and after the release of his
Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie. While addressing questions from reporters, Lokesh Kanagaraj spoke briefly about his involvement in Jana Nayagan, and deciding to keep details under wraps. “H Vinoth anna and Vijay anna called me up for it, and I did a cameo appearance, but that is all I can say for now,” he said, creating excitement among fans eager to know more about the film’s special appearances.
Lokesh Kanagaraj shares a strong professional bond with Vijay, since he directed
the actor in Master and Leo. Both films were key milestones in Vijay’s career and helped secure Lokesh’s reputation as one of Tamil cinema’s most influential filmmakers. Interestingly, Lokesh had also made a brief cameo in
Master, making his appearance in
Jana Nayagan a second with Vijay. Adding further intrigue, reports suggest that Lokesh may not be the only filmmaker making a cameo in the film. Industry buzz suggests that acclaimed directors
Atlee and Nelson Dilipkumar might also appear in Jana Nayagan. One has to note that Atlee directed Vijay's
