Blackpink member Jennie, whose Dracula - JENNIE Remix topped Spotify's Global Daily chart with its highest ranking debut, has now become a proud owner of a plush property. On February 11, Korean media reported that the 30-year-old has purchased a building near Hannam New Town for 20.0 billion KRW (about $13.7 million) in an all-cash purchase. Expanding her real estate portfolio with the major property acquisition in Seoul's prestigious Yongsan District, the deal, though revealed belatedly, has grabbed the attention of real estate and entertainment industry. It also cements Jennie's net worth, while strengthening her powerplay with the strategic investment. This also comes as Jennie prepares for the release of Blackpink's third mini album DEADLINE,
along with bandmates Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé.
Jennie's latest purchase
According to multiple media reports, Jennie purchased the building located in Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a district known for its high-end real estate, embassies, and proximity to redevelopment zones such as Hannam New Town and Yongsan Park. The transaction reportedly took place in May 2025, with the ownership transfer was finalised in December of the same year.
The fact that Jennie undertook the deal with no mortgage or lien on the property, leads industry insiders to believe that the entire purchase was made in cash. It further signals of her strong financial position and investment confidence.
Details about the building
As for the building, the structure was originally completed in 1970. Spread across an approx land area of 595㎡ and a total floor area of 551.08㎡, it spans one basement level and two above-ground floors. It was used as the Embassy of Iraq in Korea before it changed ownership. Given its location around embassy residences and near major redevelopment sites, raises its potential value.
Jennie's past investments in property
Jennie had in 2023 reportedly bought a luxury villa in UN Village, one of Seoul's most exclusive residential neighbourhoods, for 5.00 billion KRW (about $3.43 million) in full cash. She even rented an entire newly built building in Hannam-dong, another elite Yongsan area last year, and turned it into the new headquarters for her one-person agency, Odd Atelier (OA).
As of today, Jennie reportedly holds a net worth of about $20 million to $30 million USD — making her one of the richest K-pop stars globally.Meanwhile, Blackpink's upcoming album
