Anurag Kashyap on Epstein Files
Anurag was allegedly referenced as 'Bollywood guy' who had come on-board for an event connected to Epstein, set to be held in Beijing in 2017. Reacting to this, the filmmaker told Hindustan Times, "I’ve no clue about this. I get invitations as a speaker, about 15 a month. I rarely respond. Also, I have never been to Beijing in my life!"
The director further called it 'random email' and that click baits in his name are popular than his movies. That said, there's no proof of Anurag directly appearing in the verified Epstein court documents. Talking about the Epstein files, it is a huge collection of contact books, court documents, flight logs, and more related to legal proceedings that involved Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. According to media reports, Indian filmmakers Nandita Das and Mira Nair's names have also been mentioned in the Epstein Files. Another prominent name is Deepak Chopra, an Indian-American author and a wellness speaker. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut reacted to the revelations and called the details 'disturbing'. That said, the mention in the Epstein Files do not equal misconduct, only record contact.
