Manoj Bajpayee Calls Bollywood Actors 'Too Insecure,' Says 'They Will Never Appreciate Each Other'

As he soaks in the success of the new season of the show, the actor didn't shy away from speaking hard truths about the industry he has navigated for decades. In The Family Man 3, besides Manoj Bajapayee in the lead role, other returning cast members include Sharib Hashmi as JK Talpade, Priyamani as Suchitra Tiwari, Ashlesha Thakur as Dhriti Tiwari, Vedant Sinha as Atharv Tiwari, Shreya Dhanwanthary as Zoya, and Gul Panag as Saloni. Jaideep Ahlawat has also joined the cast as an antagonist and is winning hearts.

Manoj and Jaideep recently sat down with Kusha Kapila and comedian Ravi Gupta for a lively conversation about the show's runaway success and talked about Bollywood’s long-standing culture of insecurity. Recalling an incident, Ahlawat said, "When Paatal Lok season 1 was released, Manoj bhai called me at night and spoke to me for 15–20 minutes. I will never forget that for the rest of my life. And after that, I cried a lot." To this, Bajpayee added, "I had told him to open an institution, and I would become his student. In our industry, actors will never praise each other. They’ll never call to appreciate someone’s work because they are very insecure."
