Hye-Yoon continues to remain in touch with her Lovely Runner co-star Byeon Woo-Seok. Infact, the two actors, who found their breakout role in the 2024 blockbuster K-drama, have maintained a close friendship even after two years. Kim, who has now moved on to her new Korean drama titled No Tail To Tell, where she plays a nine-tailed fox (gumiho) is currently seen with Park Lomon on Netflix. The two actors recently promoted their new show on Salon Drip, where Kim got candid about her bond with Byeon, and how she continues to support him, who's currently filming for Disney+ title Perfect Crown opposite IU.

Host Jang Doyeon started the show by mentioning how Kim Hye-Yoon and Byeon Woo-Seok's episode during their
Lovely Runner days still remains the most watched with 18.6 million views. She then went on to ask Kim how she remains in touch with Byeon, and mentioned sending a coffee truck to support him on the set of his show too.
Kim replied, "He looked really busy during filming at the time. So I sent it to show support. Sometimes I contact him in advance before sending, and other times I send it after seeing news articles."Kim's gesture, along with the message she sent for Byeon on truck grabbed attention. The note read, "Please enjoy the coffee and request two reflectors for Woo-seok oppa." Kim explained, "I saw it somewhere before and thought it was witty, so I copied it. I didn’t have a better idea."
Lomon added, "Usually, coffee truck messages are either written directly by the sender or outsourced to agencies if they lack ideas." Host Jang agreed, "These days, there’s so much competition for wit that it must be more burdensome."

Lovely Runner is a time-slip drama that followed a devoted fan Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon) who time-travels back 15 years to save her favorite K-pop idol, Ryu Sun-Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok), from his tragic, untimely death. It also gives her a chance to prevent his fate and her own accident, all while navigating their first love and altering their destinies with a magical watch. The show received positive reviews and became a massive hit for blending romance, fantasy, mystery, and a serial killer subplot. As Im Sol tries to rewrite history, she discovers Sun-Jae's deep feelings for her and their interwoven past.The show swept every award ceremony that year, and got both Kim and Byeon huge fandom. Though the two moved on with their respective new projects, they've made sure to continue being friends.
