Salman
Khan fans have been eagerly waiting to watch his next, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace, in theatres for a while now. The Apoorva Lakhia-directed film has been postponed due to creative reasons. Reports also suggest that a few sequences of the war drama have been reshot. The makers are yet to screen the film to the Defence Ministry for clearance. Amidst all, veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai watched the rough cut of Maatrubhumi with Kabir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Riteish Deshmukh and others in Mumbai. Now, the Taal director has given his review of Maatrubhumi on X.

He said that the film is based on a warm story of Indo-China soldiers with their respective emotions for their nations and families.
Subhash Ghai’s positive words for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace must have given confidence to the team of the film, as they are leaving no stone unturned to make the film watch worthy to the audience.
About Maatrubhumi
Maatrubhumi has been creating a solid buzz amongst the masses ever since Salman Khan shared the first look of the film. The makers are keeping the film in news by sharing music videos of it. Earlier this morning, the makers dropped a reprised version of a song, Main Hoon, on social media. In the song,
Chitrangda Singh and Salman Khan are seen making everyone emotional with their performance in a black-and-white video. It looks like the Main Hoon reprise version will surely leave the viewers teary-eyed in theatres. Maatrubhumi was supposed to release on April 17, 2026. Now, a few reports suggest that the makers are planning to release the film in theatres around Independence Day. There is a high chance of a big clash between Maatrubhumi and Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, which is being produced by Aamir Khan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Maatrubhumi also stars Mukesh Rishi, Ankur Bhatia, Zeyn Shaw, Abhishree Sen and others in key roles.
