BTS members Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are gearing up to make their big comeback as a full group with the new album ARIRANG on March 20, followed by an extensive world tour. However,
soon after the ticket booking for the shows across 34 cities, 79 concerts across 5 continents, running through 2026-2027 opened, ARMYs went into a frenzy, some even furious over the pricing, online booking glitches and the long waiting to secure a ticket. In what is being touted as one of the biggest moments in not just K-pop, but even global music, BTS is returning to active music after almost 4 years due to the members' military service.
Presale for ARMY global membership
On January 22, Ticketmaster opened its sale for ARMY global membership. This meant that if you've registered, you'll get access to a presale for the concert tickets. However, in what started with an exciting move turned into chaos. Social media platforms started buzzing with all kinds of emotions, from excitement to disappointment over the concert bookings. Many fans shared screenshots of the long queues on the ticket websites. Others expressed happiness over getting a slot.
ARMY reacts to ticketing chaos
An ARMY posted a grab of their rank above 140,000 in the waiting list and wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "141k in queue today through season pass holders…..its so over tomorrow." A user reacted, "I will absolutely not be surprised if that queue reaches half a million or even a million." Another one said, "Whatttttt???!!! Season pass holders?!? They are the VIP’s of the stadiums?!?"One fan revealed the price: "$454 for the 100’s …… its so over *not my ticket" A post read, "If you’re like me and purchasing 1 ticket for yourself or worried about budget. I would say you can get away with a budget of $400. I’m also aware that the demand for bts is different, I Just wanted to practice ticketing with another artist."
Ticketmaster called out by netizens
Netizens even called out Ticketmaster for hiding and not revealing ticket prices until the last minute. The final prices, they claimed was now hampering their travel and booking budget around the particular concert. Even though the ticket prices for the band's South Korea shows were announced earlier, ranging from $135 to $180, fans expected to receive details about international pricing soon. But that never happened in advance. “Ticket prices and venue layouts will be disclosed once tickets are available for purchase," the Ticketmaster Fan Support wrote on X infuriating fans. "what kind of strategy is this? ticket selling begins in two days, but there’s still no seat map or ticket prices. this is concerning, given that they know ARMYs will purchase regardless of cost," an ARMY reacted. Another comment read, "Ticket prices only being disclosed once tickets are available is so they can jack up the prices. The @Ticketmaster monopoly needs to end. Fans don't deserve this treatment when all we want to do is see our favourite artists perform."
Mexico seeks ticket transparency
Ahead of opening of the ticketing window, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) in Mexico had received more than 4,700 formal complaints demanding clear information about ticket prices, seating maps, fees, and sales conditions before presales started. The agency sought honesty by strongly urging
Ticketmaster Mexico and promoter OCESA to disclose full pricing structures, seating layouts, and whether dynamic pricing would be used.
