Shah passed away on October 25, 2025, due to kidney failure. His funeral was held today (October 26) in Mumbai’s Pawan Hans Crematorium. Satish was one of the finest character artists in Indian cinema. Now, after his funeral, the family has organised a prayer meet to pay tributes to the departed soul on October 27 (Monday).

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai producer JD Majethia shared details about Satish Shah’s prayer meet on Instagram. The note reads, “In loving memory of our beloved Satish Shah. We gather to celebrate life and creative spirit of a man whose life has touched hearts, inspired many minds and brought beauty to the film world.” According to the note, the Shraddhanjali Kriya (Prayer Meet) will be held on Monday (October 27) at Jalaram Hall, Juhu, Mumbai, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. “With love and cherished memories, the Shah-Prabhu family and friends,” the note concluded.

Satish Shah had worked in films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Shakti, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Judwaa, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and so on.
