Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry Trailer Released
Patralekhaa and Maanvi’s film trailer opens up to a heartfelt story of friendship and self-discovery. Set to release on May 29, slice-of-life drama is directed by Kartik Chaudhry. Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry is based on a road-trip drama that delves into the exploration of female lives filled with patriarchal norms and societal bounds imposed on them.
Sara (Patralekha) and Heer (Maanvi Gagroo) are two opposite personalities who intersect in rare events. Heer is a simple girl who is stuck in a loop of troubles. On the other hand, Sara, a strong girl bike rider, is suppressed by society's expectations and later takes control of what is hers. They are in dire need of escape and decide to embark on a short trip to Pondicherry. Sara uplifts her ambitions and fearless desires to travel solo on a bike and lead a startup, but is met with criticism.
Maanvi On Playing Heer
Maanvi Gagroo revealed that after reading the script, she felt motivated and comfortable in her own skin. Bringing the character alive was possible because it was packed with light-hearted dialogues; apart from being funny, they were deep and moving. “What drew me in was how simple yet emotionally stirring the story felt”, she added. Describing her character, she reflected on how simple Heer is. The girl is not an overthinker but perfectly aware of what her own terms are. “Confident, comfortable in her own skin”, this very nature makes Gagroo fall in love with her character.
