Joe Keery has had a fantastic start to 2026. First of all, his character Steve Harrington survived the end of Stranger Things on Netflix. After the release of the show, his song End of Beginning from his 2022
album, Decide, has been charting again on Spotify and hit number one in the UK. And on top of that, rumours are swirling that Keery is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with his Stranger Things co-star Sadie Sink. With End of Beginning trending again, we revisit the time when Masters of the Universe actor Nicholas Galitzine talked about the love for the song.
Nicholas Galitzine is Joe Keery's number one fan
In 2024, ahead of the release of
The Idea of You, Nicholas Galitzine spoke about his admiration for the actor and performer called Djo in an arty interview for
Capital Buzz. When asked about his most played song of the year, Galitzine revealed that Keery had created a top-tier banger.
He shared, "I think my most played song was
End of Beginning by Joe. The way that song has just completely blown up is; it's pretty incredible. I got to meet Joe Keery at a party recently and I just couldn't resist, I just had to go up and tell him... I just think he's an amazing actor and for someone like me who has a passion for music as well and wants to supersde music in a capacity, the way he's been able to balance the two is really, really impressive." Galitzine added, "And he's just really fantastic artist. He really wrote a song resonated with a tremendous amount of people, which is very, very hard to do, 'cause when people kind of go out of their way to make a hit, it's an almost impossible task so... I've got so much respect for him and I love that song."
Joe Keery's upcoming project
Besides the growing MCU rumours,
Keery's next film is a horror film. He is set to star in
Cold Storage, with Liam Neeson, Leslie Manville and Georgina Campbell. Written by David Koepp, the film sees a highly dangerous fungus escape from a secret laboratory. A former bioterrorism agent and two young employees try to contain the threat.
