Ishaan Khatter, who celebrated his 30th birthday on November 1, received a special wish from his Homebound co-star Vishal Jethwa. The actor took to Instagram to post a warm, emotional message for Ishaan, along with a few sweet pictures, including their first picture together. In his note, Vishal expressed how their bond has grown since they first met and called Ishaan “one of the best gifts” he received from the project.

Both Ishaan and Vishal have starred in Homebound. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound was inspired by the 2020 New York Times essay Taking Amrit Home. The story brought together two powerful journeys of ambition, struggle, and freedom. Set in the small town of Mapur, it followed two friends - Mohammed Shoaib Ali (Ishaan Khatter) and Chandan Kumar Valmiki (Vishal Jethwa) - who tried to rise above social barriers and change their lives.The film has been selected for India's official entry for the Oscars 2026.
