Raaka is scheduled to be released in 2027, but before that, the distributors are trying hard to get the rights of the film. Amidst all, a latest report suggests that the distributors in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have begun a bidding war over Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone’s film, Raaka. The big distributors from the northern centres are trying hard to get the distribution rights of the upcoming pan-India film, which is being helmed by the Jawan director.
Huge Demand For Raaka In UP-Bihar
According to Hindustan Times, several distributors from the Bihar region have approached the makers of Raaka to acquire exclusive territorial rights for the state at an unprecedented price. Well, this is happening because of the huge popularity of Allu Arjun in the northern states such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and so on. The source informed the portal that Allu Arjun’s loyal fan bases in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand have showered a lot of love on his previous films. His last venture, Pushpa 2: The Rule, performed exceedingly well at the box office, especially in the mentioned non-Telugu-speaking regions. Due to phenomenal demand, the distributors are fighting with each other to get the rights of Raaka.
For the unversed, Pushpa did fabulous business in the northern sectors of India. Hence, Allu Arjun launched Pushpa 2’s Hindi trailer in Patna. Due to his popularity, the film earned Rs 812 crore in Hindi alone. Hence, the distribution circle is expecting a similar reception for Raaka.
