After reports claimed that Apne 2 had been cancelled, fans of the late Dharmendra were left disappointed. But producer Deepak Mukut has now clarified that the film is very much on track and will be made as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary star.The first Apne, starring Dharmendra along with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, has been in the spotlight again since the actor's passing. The project meant a lot to him, and the team now hopes to honour his memory by taking the sequel forward.Talking about the sequel, Deepak Mukut said in a statement, "People need to stop spreading unverified rumours. Apne 2 is NOT shelved. This film is happening, and it is happening with full conviction. We have been working quietly but consistently, and there
has never been a question of dropping the project. The first instalment released in 2007 and struck an emotional card with audiences.
