In one of the earlier interviews, the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actor had revealed that they have been friends since the release of Salman’s first film, Biwi Ho Toh Aisi, and his film, Yaara Dildaara (1991). For the unversed, Aasif made his Bollywood debut with Rama O Rama in 1988. After the release of Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Salman Khan became an overnight star, but Aasif kept struggling to make his mark in show business as the lead actor. Aasif Sheikh started his acting career in 1984 with the TV show Hum Log. He has acted in shows like Yug, Tanha, Yes Boss, Muskaan, Gul Sanobar, Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, Hassi Woh Phassi, Miilee, CID, Dill Mill Gayye, Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai, Ring Wrong Ring and so on.
