Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has been postponed due to the censor board’s delay. While the makers await a certificate from CBFC, the film leaked on the internet hours ago. Netizens, however, cautioned peers. Vijay’s entry scene was leaked last night, and now, the full film is going viral on pirated sites. The makers of Jana Nayagan have initiated legal action against miscreants. Vijayan Subramanian, the advocate representing KVN Productions LLP, issued a notice addressing the leak. He wrote in the statement that the film has been produced by ‘investing several hundred crores’ and ‘carries enormous theatrical, satellite, OTT and commercial value’.

Advocate Vijayan added that the leak has come as a ‘shock’ to the makers, and it is a matter of urgency. “Certain scenes from the film
Jana Nayagan have been illegally accessed, downloaded, copied and circulated by certain persons and forwarded to several third parties, creating a serious threat of digital leakage through various social media platforms,” the notice read.
Circulation of Jana Nayagan leaked clips could lead to criminal action
He further shared that downloading, forwarding, sharing, uploading, reposting, storing or circulating of such
leaked scenes or clips of
Jana Nayagan through WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, websites, Torrent or any other digital medium leads to serious criminal offence and copyright violation and every person involved shall be individually liable for criminal action.
Legal action initiated
Subramanian also revealed that
KVN Productions has already initiated legal action against the person who unlawfully downloaded and forwarded scenes from Jana Nayagan on social media without its official release. “Further proceedings are actively being pursued against all persons involved in such illegal circulation,” the notice read. The counsel concluded the notice by mentioning that to download, receive, store, forward, share or circulate any leaked content relating to
Jana Nayagan in any manner whatsoever through any digital or social media platform could lead to immediate civil and criminal proceedings.

Jana Nayagan release date
Jana Nayagan was scheduled to release in theatres on January 9. However, the CBFC held its certificate and a case is ongoing in court. As per early predictions, the film could release after the Tamil Nadu elections conclude.
