Madhuvidhu – SonyLiv (May 22)
Directed by Vishnu Aravind, this Malayalam romantic comedy stars Sharaf U Dheen, Kalyani Panicker, Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Amal Jose Antony, Sreejaya Nair, and Anusreya Rajan. The film follows Amrutharaj, a café owner raised in an all-male household. After 28 failed marriage alliances, villagers begin believing that his family is cursed. The film has the right mix of humour, romance, and family drama, Madhuvidhu promises to be a light-hearted entertainer.
Bhishmar – Amazon Prime Video & Sun NXT (May 22)
Directed by East Coast Vijayan, this comedic thriller features Dhyan Sreenivasan and Vishnu Unnikrishnan in lead roles. The story revolves around Murugan, a vegetable shop owner whose peaceful life takes a chaotic turn when Aravind asks him to help abduct his girlfriend, who is being held captive by her family. The supporting cast includes Divya Pillai, Ammayra Goswami, Indrans, Unni Lalu, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Manikandan Achari, and Shaju Sreedhar.
Satan: The Dark – Amazon Prime Video & Aha Video (May 20)
This Tamil psychological horror thriller stars Fredrick John, Ayraa Palak, Chandini Tamilarasan, Mona Bedre, and Sreeja Ravi. Directed by Manikandan Ramalingam, the film is set during the East India Company era. The story centres around a mysterious ritual in Asthinapuram that continues to haunt the village across generations, blending supernatural horror with psychological tension.
Warrant – ZEE5 (May 22)
Directed by Vignesh Natarajan, this Tamil crime thriller stars Kottai Karuppasamy and Prashanth Pandiyaraj (director of Vilangu who makes his acting debut). The film follows a vulnerable small-town constable who is constantly bullied by those around him. However, his life takes a dramatic turn after a custodial death case pushes him into solving complex investigations and confronting difficult truths.
Sathi Leelavathi – Sun NXT and JioHotstar (May 20)
This romantic comedy stars Lavanya Tripathi and Dev Mohan in lead roles. The film follows Leela, a successful filmmaker, and her childhood friend Ram Sethu, who eventually fall in love and get married. However, their relationship begins to face challenges as Leela’s demanding career creates distance between them, leading Sethu to consider divorce.
