Duong, popularly known from projects such as Blue Bloods, Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, and The Beyond, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, surrounded by loved ones after battling cancer. According to TMZ, he went into septic shock on Friday night before passing away the following morning. Duong's friend Hilarie Steele shared the sad news on Saturday on a GoFundMe created for his family, including his wife, Christina, and their daughter Everest, 5. "He was comfortable and thankfully out of pain," Steele wrote.

"He was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born. We are
devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time," she continued.
Duong battled cancer for over a year, with his social media confirming that he underwent surgery to remove a malignant mass behind his eye in early 2025, but needed further procedures after inconclusive results.

Having been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 2009, Duong’s credits include
Dexter, Everybody Hates Chris, 90210, The Young and the Restless and
Pretty Little Liars. He also wrote for Netflix’s
Historical Roasts. Beginning in 2021, he worked as a door guy at the Comedy Store.
Last August, the Largo in Los Angeles hosted
