Taking to social media, Rajinikanth posted "What a glorious moment for India! Our Women in Blue have redefined courage, grace, and power inspiring generations to come. You’ve carried the tricolour across the world with fearless, unbreakable spirit. Many congratulations! History has been made. Jai Hind!"Kamal Haasan also wished the team in blue. He posted "The 1983 moment of Indian Women’s Cricket has arrived! Your names will live in folklore. Their legacy will ignite a million dreams.Congratulations, Team India!"
On Sunday, Harmanpreet Kaur led India to a 52-run victory. Shafali Verma scored 87 runs off 78 balls and took two wickets, securing Player of the Match. While Deepti Sharma’s five-wicket haul had South Africa, out for 246. The win has created history as the Indian women first played internationally in 1976, and nearly five decades later, they won India the World Cup.
On the work front, Superstar Rajinikanth has wrapped up the latest shooting schedule of his much-awaited film, Jailer 2, in Goa. The actor, who returned to Chennai last night, was welcomed by several of enthusiastic fans at the airport. Videos of Rajinikanth waving, smiling, and taking selfies with his fans have since gone viral across social media. Directed by Nelson, Jailer 2 marks Rajinikanth’s return to one of his most celebrated characters, Muthuvel Pandian. The film, is backed by Sun Pictures, is touted to be bigger than the first part.
