HYBE spreads wings in India
In September, reports came in that HYBE, the entertainment giant behind popular K-pop groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN and CORTIS, had officially launched its Indian office, HYBE India, in Mumbai. This marks the company's fifth global headquarters after Japan, the US, Latin America, and China and ARMY is excited. India has become one of the leading hubs of K-pop and K-content in the last few years. This comes after weeks of speculation that HYBE is eyeing India as its next big destination.
It comes as BTS gears up to make its big comeback next year. After all its members completed their mandatory military service in June this year, the band is now working on their next album and will also embark on a world tour. And with HYBE India coming in the picture, fans expect the group to add India as a pitstop during its concerts too.According to Korean media, HYBE said, "We are currently conducting local market research and handling the practicalities of setting up the corporation, with the goal of launching around September or October." HYBE India plans to hold auditions and establish a training system tailored to the Indian market, aiming to produce world-class artists with regional authenticity.ALSO READ: BTS Jungkook's 6 Hours 13 Minutes Record Weverse LIVE Left Fans So Excited, One Of Them Even 'Took Clothes Off' Leaving JK ShockedHYBE's US branch yielded notable results with its American girl group KATSEYE.
