India is set to thrill fans with an exciting slate of new films and series to stream online in 2026. On Tuesday evening, Netflix India announced the upcoming projects that will be streaming on the platform in 2026. With this, the makers have finally made an official announcement for Lust Stories 3. The third installment of the popular anthology features a brand-new team of renowned directors, including Vikramaditya Motwane (Lootera), Shakun Batra (Kapoor & Sons), Kiran Rao (Laapataa Ladies), and Vishal Bhardwaj (Haider). Interestingly, each director will tell a separate story that looks at love, desire, power dynamics, and social hierarchies in a new way.
Netflix 2026 slate confirms Lust Stories Season 3
The clip shared by Netflix India on their official Instagram handle features Radhika Apte and Konkona Sen Sharma as the stars of Motwane's short. Vijay will be seen romancing Radhika Apte in the short, while Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan are the stars of Shakun Batra's short. In Kiran Rao's movie, Gurfateh Pirzada works with newcomer Sana Thampi. The project also markes yet another collaboration between Vishal Bhardwaj and Aditi Rao Hydari. As per the announcement,

The Netflix anthology will be released in four bite-sized yet emotionally resonant films. It will once again explore lust, love, relationships, and repressed desire, and is set to offer fresh perspectives on intimacy, longing, and human connection in all their complexity.

Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua are backing the project under the banners RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment. Interesting, ever since the first season was released, Lust Stories has been praised for its brave and complex look at women's sexuality. As for the first season, the audiences witnessed the craftsmanship of Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, and Dibakar Banerjee. Vicky Kaushal, Radhika Apte, Kiara Advani, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Neha Dhupia, and Akash Thosar starred in the first season. As for the second season of the Netflix anthology film - Tamannaah Bhatia, Mrunal Thakur, Kajol, Vijay Varma, Angad Bedi, Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, and Neena Gupta starred, which was released in 2023. Konkona Sen Sharma, R Balki, Sujoy Ghosh, and Amit Ravindernath Sharma directed shorts for it.
