Can’t Travel? This AI App Lets You Post Fake Vacation Photos That Look Real
Times Now
Vacations are getting expensive and not everyone can afford a big Europe holiday. But now, an AI app is promising to change that (at least on your Instagram feed). The app uses artificial intelligence
(AI) to create realistic-looking vacation photos featuring you even if you are sitting at home. According to a report from The Verge, the app named Endless Summer asks you for some selfies, then uses AI to place you in locations like Tokyo, Paris, New York or a beachside dinner in a sunny foreign land. The idea is simple. You may not be able to stand on the sands of Goa or trek in the Himalayas right now but your Instagram feed or WhatsApp group could still look like it.
How It Works
- You just need to upload a few selfies and pick a destination maybe Paris, Goa or Bali and within minutes, the AI will create photos of you posing at famous places or relaxing on a beach. - From a rooftop cafe in your dream country to a sunset walk near your favourite beach, your perfect vacation can now appear in seconds.- According to The Verge report, the app offers three free AI-generated vacation images but after that it asks users to pay to continue. - It prompts them with messages like Keep going and Let the summer continue, offering paid plans starting at $3.99 (around Rs 330) for 30 images, $17.99 (around Rs 1,500) for 150 images and Rs $34.99 (around Rs 2,900) for 300 images.
The AI Holiday Trend
The trend began after users posted the pictures on X. The report says that the photos look quite real but also warn that such apps could encourage fake online lifestyles.India’s huge social media audience loves new tech trends. So don’t be surprised if your feed soon shows friends 'vacationing' in Bali or the Maldives without leaving home.
