Sunjay Kapur Estate Case: Karisma Kapoor’s Daughter Samaira Reveals Her University Fees Unpaid For 2 Months

Late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30000 crore estate case has now become a hot topic of discussion. As per the latest development, Sunjay’s ex-wife and actress Karisma Kapoor’s children on Friday claimed

that the fees of one of them, who is studying at a US university, have been due for two months. However, the justice of the Delhi High Court called it ‘melodramatic’.

Karisma Kapoor’s daughter’s big claim

According to a PTI report, the claim was made by Samaira Kapur in front of Justice Jyoti Singh, who said that she doesn’t want this hearing to be ‘melodramatic’. The justice also asked the counsel for Priya Kapur, the wife of the late Sunjay Kapur, to ensure not to bring such issues to the court again. For the unversed, the court was hearing the plea of Samaira Kapur and her brother, Kiaan Kapur. They challenged their late father’s purported will of his assets worth Rs 30000 crore. Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, who is representing Karisma Kapoor’s children, revealed that Samaira, who is currently studying at a US university, has not yet paid her fees for two months, which is a part of the matrimonial decree, which states that Sunjay Kapur was to pay for the children’s studies and expenses.Also Read : Sunjay Kapur's Wife Priya Prays For 'Protection' Amid Inheritance Dispute With Karisma Kapoor's Children Jethmalani said, “The children's estate is with defendant no. 1 (Priya Kapur). So, it is up to her. Two months' fees for the daughter who is studying in the US have not been paid.” However, Priya’s representative, senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, termed the claim to be fabricated and baseless. He mentioned that Priya has consistently looked after the children’s needs and claimed that the fees have already been paid. The Delhi High Court was hearing arguments on an interim injunction application filed by Karisma Kapoor's children to restrain Priya Kapur from alienating Sunjay Kapur's assets. The court has listed the matter for the next week. Earlier, the court had asked Priya Kapur to give a list of Sunjay Kapur’s assets to the court.
