On May 9, Choo Young-Woo's agency addressed the actor's appearance at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2026. The company confirmed his eye injury after the internet kept buzzing seeking answers. J,WIDE-COMPANY explained in a statement to OSEN, "He sustained a minor injury to his eye while exercising, but there are no major issues with his health. He plans to carry out his schedule to the extent where it does not cause any undue strain."
