All about Labubu
Labubu has an interesting origin story. The character was created in 2015 by Kasing Lung, an artist from Hong Kong who later settled in Europe. His designs were originally produced by the company How2Work. A few years later, the Chinese lifestyle and toy giant Pop Mart picked up the line and began selling the dolls more widely in 2019, which dramatically expanded their reach. While Labubu first gained popularity in East and Southeast Asia, its fame quickly spread to the United States. Celebrities have also helped push Labubu into the global spotlight. For example, Lisa from the K-pop group BLACKPINK has been seen wearing Labubu accessories, driving even more interest and boosting the doll’s cultural status.Stay tuned for more updates!
