In his recent interview with Filmygyan, Nishant was asked about his experience of shooting for the film and his co-stars. Speaking about his experience working with Riteish, Malkani said, "Riteish is a very serious actor. But he does comedy very well, and I think he is one of the best actors in the industry today. He is one of those all-rounder actors who excels in both serious cinema and comedy. His versatility as an actor is what sets him apart."The actor also admitted to feeling nervous at the start of the film. Mastiii 4 is his debut in a franchise that has been running for 20 years, and he was stepping into a space dominated by the original Mastiii stars – Riteish, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani. "This is my first entry in a franchise that has already been going on for 20 years. Riteish, Vivek, and Aftab are the OG Masti boys. So, being on the same level as them in the film and being accepted by them was something that made me a bit nervous. I was unsure about how they would accept me, but they were extremely humble and welcoming."

Nishant also fondly recalled the moment Riteish first saw him on set. "I still remember the first time Riteish saw me on set," he said, laughing. "I was shooting a song, and I was wearing shorts and dancing without a shirt. Riteish came up to me and said, 'Nishant, come here!' I thought he was going to scold me, but then he said, 'I didn’t know you were packing this inside your shirt! If you roam around like this, we’ll have to wear jackets. This isn’t fair.' Initially, the team thought the scene was weakly written, but Malkani’s performance turned it around. "The first scene I did with Riteish was a comedy scene. Before shooting it, we all thought it was a very weak scene. But when I performed, Riteish came up to me afterwards and said, 'Bro, you are a brilliant actor.' He told me that I was fantastic at comedy, and that compliment coming from him was a huge deal for me."Nishant expressed how much the compliment meant to him, especially because comedy wasn’t something he had explored much in his career.
