Vijay's Jana Nayagan has been struggling with its theatrical release. The movie was supposed to hit the big screens on January 9 this year. However, it has been delayed due to certification issues by the Central Board of Film Certification. Amid this, the full movie was leaked online. It started with Vijay's introduction scene being leaked. Director Ameer accused the film's editors and crew members of being involved in the leak. Now, the South Indian Film Editors Association President Gopi and Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) President RK Selvamani have addressed these allegations.
No editors involved in Jana Nayagan's leak
According to ANI, the South Indian Film Editors Association President Gopi has denied any editor's involvement in Jana Nayagan being leaked online. He mentioned that an internal inquiry has already been conducted by their team. The association president further stated that 'editors will never do this kind of work'.
And since six people have already been arrested, he said that main accused behind the leak will be arrested soon. He even spoke about the people accusing Jana Nayagan's editor, Pradeep, of leaking the Vijay-starrer. However, the president believes that the editor should not be accused without proof as the investigation is still on.Meanwhile, FEFSI President RK Selvamani stated that filmmaker Ameer should take back his allegations against the film's editors and crew members. "Piracy is not new and has been an ongoing issue in the film industry, and steps are being taken to create systems to control such leaks and avoid similar incidents in the future," he said, as reported by the news agency.
